Your missions

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for the full cycle of accounts, including monthly entries and collective accounts, monthly accounting closings, and maintenance of internal controls and procedures. To successfully fulfill this role, the Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks:


1) Tasks related to Real Estate Management

Maintain daily accounts payable and outstanding invoices
Review entries of amounts owed and ensure invoices are paid according to terms, with necessary approvals and a backup copy (e.g. property and school taxes, utilities, service contracts, etc.).
Ensure the accuracy of invoice processing and verification
Ensure all invoices correspond to purchase orders and any other copies provided.
Responsible for the proper coding of invoices in the respective G / L accounts
Obtain the necessary approvals
Produce checks in a timely manner, in accordance with the terms of the supplier
Make sure we take all supplier rebates on time
Enter manual checks into the system when required
Reconcile inter-company accounts
Respond to requests from suppliers and staff regarding payments and complaints.
Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements and follow up on any missing invoices.
Issue monthly reports and balance accounts payable
Establish constant communication with the accounting department in order to update accounts payable data
Maintain a monthly analysis of several accounts.

Your profile

Bilingual (French / English), spoken and written
DEC or DEP in accounting / finance or equivalent
Experience with a large volume of invoices
3 years of experience in a similar position
Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
Knowledge of Yardi Voyageur and Genesis, Enterprise software an asset
Have a sense of organization and priority management
Sense of confidentiality
Competence in problem solving
Ease of multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment
Show great attention to detail
