We are looking for a our client, a growing company on the island of Montreal, a talented Accounting Technician to join their team. This person will be an intricate part of the Finance team and will provide support to the fundamentals of our processes. We are seeking someone very motivated and detail oriented.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare bank reconciliations
Process payable invoices and payments
Reconcile credit card and process payments
Participate in month-end closing and prepare journal entries (pre-paids, amortization, accruals, inter-company reallocations, etc.)
Reconcile balance sheet accounts
Record revenues, manage account receivables and deposits
Communicate with vendors and employees regarding account balances, invoices, payments, etc.
Prepare GST/QST monthly entries and remittances
Help with any other task and special projects to assist the controller and the team.

Accounting studies or relevant experience (min. 3 years)
Perfectly bilingual (English environment)
Self motivated, autonomous and hands-on
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and using different technologic tools
Initiative, teamwork and quick learner
Strong communication skills
Ability to work efficiency with Excel
Solid Knowledge of full accounting cycle
Attention to details and accuracy
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests
Knowledge of QuickBooks and Sage 100 (an asset)
