Your missions

Your responsabilities:
Follow up and collect accounts receivable
Analyze and conduct research to resolve account issues
Match receivables with payable in return (claims)
Communicate by phone or email with debtors to obtain payment of amounts
In collaboration with senior management, determine and apply an action plan for unpaid debts (litigation)
Negotiate repayment agreements and follow up on your payment agreements
Account for deposits by checks and transfers and apply them to accounts receivable
Perform credit inquiries, when necessary
Participate in the monthly and annual closing process for receivables
Update and document all relevant information clearly on the debtor's account in order to keep a close follow-up
Contribute to maintaining a good working atmosphere and a respectful and productive work environment
Respect the policies and procedures in force in the department
See to the good management of your working time and your collection files

Your profile

Your profile:
DEP / DEC in accounting, finance, administration or any discipline deemed equivalent, completed
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position in credit / collection
Or equivalent work / study combination
Bilingualism: Excellent command of French AND English (written and spoken)
Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, mainly Excel
Knowledge of accounting software (an asset)
Practical mastery of basic accounting concepts, particularly the payable and receivable cycles. (debit-credit, profit and loss items and balance sheet items)
Demonstrate diplomacy and firmness
The ability to work in a team
Have a sense of organization and priorities
Pay attention to detail and thoroughness
Be proactive, resourceful and autonomous
Must meet established deadlines
Be able to manage confidential information
Knowing how to negotiate and deal with arguments
