Your missions

Hi, I'm Ninon, recruitment consultant with Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in finance and accounting. I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent in the Greater Montreal area, and I specialize in assisting accounting firms.

Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your world. We cover finance, accounting and payroll professions.

I'm looking for an Accountant for an accounting firm in Laval.

Your responsibilities:
Be responsible for following up on client files throughout the year and ensuring that client deadlines are met;
Participate in the planning and execution of clients' year-end mandates, including financial statements (compilation and review assignments);
Analyze variations in financial statements and justify them in the year-end file, where applicable;
Produce personal and corporate income tax returns;
Prepare sales tax reports for customers;
Prepare dividend tracking sheets;
Assist file manager with government audit requests (personal, corporate and commodity taxes);
Assist the firm's technicians and the client's accounting staff;
Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement to increase the efficiency of the client's year-end file;
Ensure internal knowledge transfer through participation in ongoing training in the field;
Carry out any other related tasks required within the scope of his/her duties.

Your profile

Your profile:

Good analytical and self-checking skills;
Ability to work well in a team;
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
Ability to work independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook and Word);
Knowledge of Caseware software (an important asset);
Proficiency in Taxprep personal and corporate tax software;
Taxprep tax software for trusts (an asset);
Knowledge of standard accounting software such as Sage 50 or Acomba (an asset);
Fluency in spoken and written French;
Fluency in spoken and written English (an asset).
Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or DESS in professional accounting;
CPA designation (an asset).
A minimum of 2 to 3 years' relevant experience (ideally in a firm).
Must be available to work additional hours to the normal work week, particularly from January to April;
Occasional travel to customer sites may be required.
