Your missions
We are currently assisting a Montreal startup specializing in virtual reality, gaming, and IoT in the recruitment of a financial controller to join their team.
Your responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Report to external stakeholders
- Maintain Canadian and US general ledgers
- Recode sales based on revenue recognition criteria
- Support with vendor invoices and employee expenses
- Follow up on outstanding accounts receivables
- Manage budgeting and forecasting
- Review and present reports to management
- Review and submit sales tax returns
- Compile departmental reports monthly
- Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports
- Review and update accounting processes to implement and maintain internal controls
- Provide recommendations and assistance to the executive team
- Interact with the Executive Team and senior management
- Assist with external financial audits and ad-hoc reporting requirements
Your profile
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a relevant field
- CPA preferred
- 5 years of experience in a Finance/Accounting role
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of accounting software and ERP
- Knowledge of IFRS
