Your missions

We are looking for our client, a company in the audiovisual industry, a financial analyst who will be in charge of preparing the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial reports intended for the various internal and external stakeholders for the results, the budget and the financial forecasts. They are also responsible for the consolidation process and its maintenance. The manager also participates in the analysis of the accounting impacts of various complex financial transactions and in various financial and multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

- Generate the financial statements of subsidiaries and consolidated financial reports by period and cumulated according to the deadlines established for internal and external customers, including the reconciliation of inter-company transactions, currency conversion and the processing of elimination entries
- Coordinate the preparation of financial information necessary for the preparation of cash flow statements
- Analyze and explain the discrepancies between the consolidated results and the budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with the divisional financial directors
- Maintain the proper functioning of the financial consolidation and reporting processes using IT tools and identify the necessary improvements and participate in their implementation
- Consolidate annual budgets and quarterly financial forecasts
- Assist the corporate controller in the preparation of the statutory consolidated financial statements and accompanying notes
- Participate in the preparation and coordination of the annual audit
- Participate in the analysis and documentation of various transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Assist the vice-president in the management of insurance policies
- Participate in the analysis of cash requirements in various currencies, including letters of credit
- Prepare bank compliance certificates
- Participate in various special financial and multidisciplinary projects
- Participate in the implementation of accounting systems and IT management tools
- Participate in the improvement of financial processes

Your profile

Do you think this job is for you? It just might be the case if you have:

- Hold a university degree in finance or accounting
- CPA title
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in a similar position
- Very good knowledge of ASPE and IFRS standards
- Experience with the full accounting cycle and the preparation of financial statements
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft D365 F&O (an asset)
- Knowledge of Management Reporter software (an asset)
- Excellent knowledge of the Office suite, high level of knowledge and efficiency with Excel
- Fluency in both official languages, both oral and written
- Rigor and attention to detail
- Good team spirit and collaboration
- Good management of priorities and respect for deadlines and tight deadlines
- Strong ability to work under pressure and ability to adapt to change
- Strong sense of organization
- Strong customer approach skills and ability to adapt
