Your missions

Your responsibilities:
* Be responsible for the complete accounting cycle
* Manage the company's budget process
* Ensure a bi-monthly update of construction project costs, analyze them according to the authorized budget and communicate all variances and budget overruns to the President
* Monitor cash flow and disbursements by period and by project
* Produce and analyze financial statements of associated companies
* Manage inter-company re-invoicing and good management of companies
* Prepare and monitor periodic financial forecasts
* Prepare the project closure file illustrating the final performance for closure approval by the president
* At the end of the period, update the work in progress and present it to the president
* Prepare year-end files and all necessary documentation for audits and support external auditors
* Supervise and verify GST and QST reports and other government declarations
* Manage and develop a team of accounting technicians
* Collaborate, advise and mobilize the team in their functions in order to improve the efficiency of operations
* Participate in the optimization and continuous improvement of processes and systems as well as work tools in finance and accounting to ensure the integrity of financial information
* Prepare payments in the absence of the accounting clerk
* Other related tasks

Your profile

Your profile:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting in the field of construction or real estate (an asset)
* Between 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar position
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in team management or supervision
* Experience in managing the complete accounting cycle
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite software (Excel essential)
* Knowledge of SAGE 50, an asset
* Knowledge of real estate finance, an asset
* Excellent oral and written communication in French and functional in English
* Have a good ability to adapt to change in the context of an SME
* Ability to manage time and priorities while being involved in several files simultaneously
* Capacity for analysis and critical thinking, passionate and resourceful
* Sense of detail and diplomacy
