We are looking for our client, a firm specializing in forensic accounting and litigation support services, for a financial analyst to join their team. The analyst's primary responsibility is to use their accounting, auditing and investigative skills to review and analyze financial data, prepare financial schedules and reports for our clients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Review and analyze financial data to find/identify discrepancies or irregularities;
Prepare financial schedules and reports for insured losses (business interruption, inventory losses, fraud investigations, cyber-attacks, product recalls, fidelity and loss of earning capacity due to personal injury);
Perform financial analysis in the context of legal or potential legal disputes;
Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner;
Meet time budget and deadlines as expected per file;
Maintain appropriate legislative knowledge on an ongoing basis;
Travel to client site as needed (10%);
Other duties as required.
You think this job is meant for you?? It might be the case if you have:
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge:
1-5 years of relevant accounting experience;
CPA designation, obtained or in progress;
CBV, CFF or CFE designation, or working towards these designations would be an asset;
Strong analytical, accounting and auditing skills;
Must be bilingual (French and English - both written and verbal);
Knowledge of insurance loss quantification and claims consulting would be an asset;
Highly detail oriented, excellent organizational management and communication skills.
