Your missions

Coordinate all operational payroll activities
Analyze payroll discrepancies
Participate in all improvements to payroll processes and procedures
Reconcile source deductions
Validate all data relating to employee files, including hirings, departures, movements within the company, holidays, vacation banks, hours sought and other benefits.
Perform the operational and administrative tasks necessary for the production of payroll for all the divisions under his responsibility and, if necessary, make the appropriate corrections.
check timesheets and consult with managers regarding discrepancies;
See to the application of various laws and clauses of collective agreements relating to payroll.
Prepares the payments of government source deductions and other remittances while respecting the deadlines.
Maintain payroll software settings.
Adjust and update the different banks (holidays, illnesses, etc.)
Prepare and review payroll accounting entries.
Respond to payroll-related questions from various stakeholders (employees, managers, HR, etc.).
Perform various month-end and year-end responsibilities.
Work jointly with Human Resources and Accounting on all payroll issues.

Your profile

Hold a college diploma (DEC) in accounting or any other related discipline
Hold a certification from the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA)
Have 5 to 7 years of experience in payroll processing with a very good knowledge of Canadian payroll rules
Proficiency in the ADP Work Force Now (WFN) payroll system, in particular the Time and Attendance module
Knowledge of payroll principles and tax laws
Knowledge of the Labor Standards Act
Knowledge of year-end processes (T4, R1, summary, etc.)
Bilingualism (French and English) both written and spoken
Proficiency in the MS Office suite (especially Excel)
Have experience with AS400 and an ERP system such as JDE, Oracle or SAP (an asset)
Have experience in implementing the ADP-WFN Hours and Presence module (an asset)
