Your missions

We are currently recruiting a Payroll Coordinator for downtown Montreal.
Our client is an an international group specialized in energy with a growing market in North America. Beyond the production and distribution of energy, they are also involved in energy services. It is in this context that they are now seeking a profile responsible of human resources management and payroll.
Attached to the Finance and Human Resources departments, your duties are broad and exciting; You are in charge of all payroll functions (implementation, drafting and optimization of procedures, payroll processing (complete cycle), advise employees, accounting of payroll ...). The medium-term goal of this recruitment is to oversee the payroll department.

Your function
In a team of 4 people, you are the director's right hand
* Being the resource person for team members and employees
* Establish multi-site, multi-province, Canadian and US payrolls
* Establish different analyzes at the request of the HR and Accounting departments
* Ensure that reports required by government authorities are completed in a timely and efficient manner
* Ensure that regulations established by government authorities are respected
* Ensure that the data transferred from the time and attendance system to the payroll is accurate and complete
* Calculate special payments (various allowances, collection of insurance, holidays, etc.)
* Maintain payroll GL module ensuring full payroll and benefits journal entries and participate in reconciliation of payroll accounts
* Being the resource person for team members and employees

Your profile

- Very good command of French and English, both orally and written (to be bilingual)
- Proficiency in payroll software and excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- The qualities of a conductor, a pedagogue and a technician
