Your missions

Under the supervision of the Administrative Director, the incumbent will have as main responsibilities the supervision of the payroll preparation and production team, as well as carrying out the payroll preparation himself.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

* Supervise the employees of the team: participate in recruiting staff, integrating new employees, seeing to the training or having trained the employees of the team, mobilizing the employees, coordinating and controlling the work and evaluating the contribution of the members of the team. the team, disciplinary measures;
* Supervise the operations of the department and ensure the quality of the service offered;
* Supervise or produce payroll for CCQ unionized and non-unionized employees;
* Produce, classify and update the various reports, files and requests relating to employees;
* Collaborate closely with the various departments and employees;
* Coordinate the production and transmission of month-end, year-end, T4 and R1 documents;
* Resolve problematic situations regarding time sheets, garnishments, severance pay, compensation for absence and others, communicate with managers to resolve problems;
* Carry out special projects related to the payroll service;
* Actively participate, through their attitude and behavior, in developing and maintaining a respectful, harmonious and stimulating work atmosphere for everyone;
* Collaborate with all colleagues and promote teamwork;
* Perform their work with rigor and integrity;
* Carry out their tasks and responsibilities efficiently and with the will to perform well;
* Work in accordance with the culture and values ​​of the company;
* Perform any other related task.

Your profile

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position;
* Possess a Diploma of Collegial Studies in a relevant field or any other equivalent training;
* Member of the Canadian Payroll Association (an asset);
* Skills in supervising and mobilizing employees;
* Mastery of the complete payroll cycle;
* Mastering written and spoken French;
* Knowledge of the MS Office suite, in particular excellent knowledge of Excel;
* Discretion with confidential information;
* Great attention to detail;
* Knowledge of payroll and union deductions in the construction industry (an asset).
