Your missions

-Validate all data relating to employee files, including hires, departures, movements within the company, leaves, vacation banks, accumulated hours and other benefits.
Perform the operational and administrative tasks necessary for the production of payroll for all the divisions under his responsibility and, if necessary, make the appropriate corrections.
Check timesheets and consult with managers regarding discrepancies;
See to the application of the various laws and clauses of collective agreements relating to pay.
Prepare payments for government source deductions and other remittances on time.
Maintain payroll software settings.
Adjust and update the various banks (vacations, illnesses, etc.)
Prepare and review payroll accounting entries.
Respond to payroll questions from various stakeholders (employees, managers, HR, etc.).
Prepare documents such as Records of Employment, T4 and R1.
Perform various month-end and year-end responsibilities.
Work closely with Human Resources and Accounting on all payroll related matters.

Your profile

--Hold a college diploma (DEC) in accounting or any other related discipline
Hold a certification from the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA)
Have 5 to 7 years of experience in payroll processing with a very good knowledge of Canadian payroll rules
Mastery of the ADP Work Force Now (WFN) payroll system, in particular the Hours and Attendance module
Knowledge of payroll principles and tax laws
Knowledge of the Law on Labor Standards
Knowledge of year-end processes (T4, R1, summary, etc.)
Bilingualism (French and English) both written and spoken
Proficiency in the MS Office suite (in particular Excel)
Have experience with AS400 and an ERP system such as JDE, Oracle or SAP (an asset)
Have experience in the implementation of the Hours and Presence module of ADP-WFN (an asset)
