We are looking for our client, a residencies management company on the island of Montreal, a payroll and benefits technician to join their team. The latter will have the mandate to perform the following tasks:
o Complete payroll processing and management
o Ensure the follow-up, respect and application of the various policies regarding the management of wages (labor standards, taxes, taxable benefits, etc.) in Quebec and in other provinces;
o Ensure compliance and application of company policies;
o Update their knowledge related to legislative changes in the payroll process as well as various external programs (employment insurance, CNESST, etc.);
o Open, update and file employee files (paper and computer);
o Provide information to employees on payroll issues and certain fringe benefits;
o Collaborate on the audit file for the end of the financial year;
o Produce various reports in Excel;
o Support the General Managers in time sheet approvals and everything related to the payroll process;
o Collaborate with the human resources department as needed;
o Follow up on the group retirement savings plan (RRSP) and other company compensation program;
o Participate in the pay equity maintenance program;
o Perform any other additional tasks as needed.
Think this job is for you? This may be the case if you have:
o Completed a DEC in administrative techniques or a DEP in accounting or have equivalent training;
o Three (3) years or more of payroll experience is essential;
o Knowledge of the EmployerD payroll system is an important asset;
o A very good knowledge of computers and appropriate software is essential;
o Advanced knowledge of Excel software is essential;
o Knowledge of Emprez software is an asset;
