Your missions

We are looking for our client, a consulting firm, an Accounting Clerk.

Main Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 Processing vendor invoices according to required approvals and our chart of accounts.
 Preparing weekly payment runs.
 Responding to vendor inquiries and communicating with vendors and relevant departments to
ensure any discrepancies are resolved and invoices are paid on a timely basis.
 Managing source documents and ensuring our records are complete and accurate.
 Tracking and processing employee expense reports.
 Other ad-hoc projects and reporting.
 Continuously improve and maintain the accounts payable function of the company.
 Bank and Cash entries and reconciliation for multiple accounts and currencies.
 Verify & post incoming EFT, cheques & credit card payments.
 Payment posting and performing bank deposits.
 Reconcile customer accounts, manage initial collections efforts, and follow up on outstanding
accounts in a timely manner via phone call or email.
 Generate & distribute of monthly statements to customers.
 Liaise with customers regarding AR queries & discrepancies.
 Liaise with other internal departments on collection efforts and providing relevant reports.

Your profile

Do you think this job is for you? It just might be the case if you have:

 A DEP or DEC in administration, accounting or clerical work
 A minimum of 3 years experience in the same role is mandatory
 A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (an asset)
 Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
 Self-starter who can function independently and in a team environment
 Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
 Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French an English
 Must be dependable and punctual
