Reporting directly to the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Technician will play a central role in the accounting team, with the mandate to perform daily tasks related to the accounting operations of the company.
Perform multi-currency bank reconciliations
Preparation of government reports (GST / QST / VAT)
Participate in the preparation of monthly financial statements
Participate in the preparation of the year-end file and the audit
Check the invoices to be paid and obtain the necessary approvals
Codify and record payable invoices in the ERP system
Reconcile supplier statements in collaboration with the purchasing department and record invoices in the corresponding order forms
Prepare batches of bimonthly payments to suppliers respecting the terms of payment
Manage supplier emails and calls
Reconcile monthly credit card statements
Check and record employee expense accounts
Any other connection task necessary for the proper functioning of the accountant Department
REQUIRED SKILLS :
Relevant diploma (AEC or technical in accounting);
Experience in a position with similar functions;
Comfortable working with an ERP type accounting system;
Experience with Microsoft Business Central ERP (formerly Navision) an asset
Bilingualism (spoken and written) required;
Good understanding of the complete accounting cycle;
Good command of the MS Office suite (Excel).
