Your missions
My name is Melissa, I am a finance, accounting and payroll recruitment consultant. I hold permanent and temporary positions in the Greater Montreal region.
My client located in Dorval is looking for an assistant controller. This will be in charge of helping the controller in team supervision. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Duties include:
- Cash Management: Prepare daily cash flow reports to maintain a clear view of our finances.
- Bank Deposits and Reconciliations: Ensure every deposit is made correctly and reconcile our bank accounts accurately.
- Credit Card Management: Manage credit card transactions and ensure each statement is correctly reconciled.
- Clearing Account: Monitor and manage movements on the clearing account to ensure data consistency.
- Payroll Journals: Prepare payroll journals accurately and timely.
- Credit Requests: Manage credit requests by communicating effectively with our new customers.
- Accounting Principles: Ensure that all accounting activities strictly follow the
established accounting principles.
- Staff Development: Help train and develop our team for optimal performance.
- Monthly Reviews: Participate in in-depth monthly reviews of financial statements with the Controller.
- Audit Assistance: Prepare and assist during audits, ensuring compliance of all data.
- Annual Financial Closing: Actively participate in the preparation and assistance for the end of financial year closing.
Your profile
Requirements:
-Professional Certification Diploma in Accounting
- Previous experience as an accountant, assistant controller or similar role.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of accounting software programs.
- Excellent math and accounting skills
- Bilingual (required): more than 70% of communications outside Quebec
