----Under the supervision of the Chief Accountant, the incumbent will have to prepare and produce Canadian payroll on a weekly basis for unionized and non-unionized employees
Prepare documents such as the record of employment, preparation for T4 and R1 and other month-end and year-end responsibilities
Validation of all data including hiring, terminations, movement within the company, leave, vacation banks, accumulated hours and benefits
Works closely with Human Resources and Accounting on all payroll related issues
Proficiency with ADP Work Force Now (WFN) payroll system is mandatory and in particular module Time and Attendance
Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience with solid Canadian payroll knowledge in a similar position
Ability in both English and French (oral and written) with emphasis on French
Proficient in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel
Canadian Payroll Certification (CPA) or any other related discipline
Personal Skill Sets:
Ability to demonstrate good judgment, initiative, autonomy and discretion
Excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Highly organized with a strong sense of ownership of responsibilities
Teamwork abilities in order to achieve corporate goals and objectives
Experience working with AS400 and an ERP such as JDE, Oracle, SAP
Experience with implementing module Time and Attendance in ADP WFN
