We are looking for our client, an SME based in Longueuil, an assistant controller - principal accountant.

Your missions


Responsible for the entire accounting management until the production of monthly and annual financial statements;

Perform monthly bank reconciliations, monitor investments, line of credit and available liquidity;

Post entries in the general journal and make sure the accounts are reconciled, prepare the trial balance, keep the general ledger up to date;

Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, invoicing, collection and payments;

Prepares and balances bank transfers, etc .;

Prepares various analyzes and / or reports required by management;
Manages and maintains project costs, produces reports and prepares the list of work in progress and purchases in progress;

Records accounting transactions in the system and ensures correct allocations.

The payroll department:

Prepares, verifies and sends data to the external payroll department;

Prepares terminations and responds to requests from government authorities.


Prepares and analyzes performance indicators as well as any other analysis required by management;
Prepares operating budgets and financial forecasts;
Monitor and analyze the profitability of projects with project managers;

Responsible for the cost price for each of the projects and analyzes the progress costs of each contract and ensures effective cost price management and budget control;

Ensures the validity of inventories and produces the necessary analyzes to control their level and explains variations. Prepares and participates in taking inventory;

Ensures the validity of the various accounting reports necessary for good financial management of the company;

Ensures that internal controls are in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensures their effectiveness and suggests to the CEO any improvement to be made to internal controls;

Develops performance indicators, makes recommendations to the management team and ensures their implementation once approved;

Participate in the development and implementation of management systems to ensure rigorous monitoring and thus increase internal efficiency (production, accounting and financial). The company is in the process of purchasing and implementing an integrated ERP system;

Coordinates and ensures the preparation of R&D claims as well as requests for financial aid and claims for government aid related to development programs;

Prepares the end of year file to be submitted to external accountants;

Your profile

Good experience in the manufacturing sector;

Excellent command of Excel;

Knowledge in the implementation and management of an integrated ERP system (an asset);

Dynamic, open-minded, honesty, transparency, leadership, perseverance, desire to succeed, curious and wanting success for LEM;

Bilingual (written and spoken).
