Hello, I am Charlotte, Recruitment and Business Development Advisor at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in recruitment for finance, accounting and payroll professions.

I work on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent in the Greater Montreal region.
Our team, experts in finance, speak your language and operate in your world.

I am looking for a controller, for my client in Pointe Claire. This is a permanent position.
Your responsibilities will be:
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, as well as with IR FICAP rules.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage divisional budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making processes.
• Cost Management: Monitor and analyze manufacturing and service costs, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliation, and control processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• ERP System Management: Utilize Oracle R12 ERP system for financial transactions, reporting, and analysis. Previous experience with Oracle R12 is required.
• Strategic Planning: Partner with senior management to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive sustainable growth and profitability for the division.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders, providing clear and actionable insights to support decision-making.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of accountants, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Ad hoc decision support - financial analysis
• Analyze variances (and determine root cause) in financial statements. Implement corrective actions with help from other department managers and support from Site Manager
• Initiate procedures to collect aging receivable, and follow-up

Your profile

- BAC in accounting, finance or related field
- CPA (an asset)
- 5 years experience in a similar field
- 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
- Bilingualism
- Knowledge of Excel
- Knowledge of Oracle
- US GAAP (an asset)
