Your missions

Hello, I am Jinane, Recruitment and Business Development Advisor at Fed Finance, a recruitment agency specializing in accounting, finance, and payroll positions. I handle two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent in the Greater Montreal area.

I am currently searching, on behalf of my client, a company located in the West Island of Montreal, for a Financial Controller. This is a permanent position with 4 days remote work.

Reporting to the VP Finance, we are looking for a controller who plans, organizes, directs, controls, and evaluates the financial and accounting operations.

Your responsibilities:

• Organize all accounting activities of the company by assigning tasks and resources appropriately;
• Manage complete accounting cycles;
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and various financial reports of the parent company;
• Participate in the annual budgeting process with the VP Finance;
• Manage the accounting team (3 people);
• Ensure the performance of the department.

Your profile

Think this job is for you? It might be the case if you have:

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation;
• 5 years of accounting experience (in a company and/or a firm);
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (advanced Excel, ADP, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint, an asset);
• Proficiency in a computerized accounting system;
• Good spoken and written English skills;
• Aptitude and experience in managing an accounting team, an asset;
• Detail-oriented, organized, focused on service quality and teamwork, versatile;
• Autonomous with a strong learning ability;
• Effective prioritization skills.
