Today, we are working with a Quebec company in the manufacturing industry. Manager, analyst, supervisor, the financial controller wears many hats. Primary Responsibilities :
Plan, direct and supervise all operational functions related to accounting;
Participate in the production of monthly financial statements and operational and accounting financial data;
Oversee the annual audit file process and follow-up with external auditors;
Manage the budgeting process and ensure deadlines are met;
Evaluate current accounting activities, provide recommendations for improvement and implement new processes;
Review and develop procedures and internal controls and ensure their application;
Develop and track business performance measures;
Communicate potential risks effectively and clearly in a timely manner;
Monitor the cash position, analyze variances from forecasts and make recommendations;
Supervise, train and evaluate staff under his/her responsibility;
Supervise the management of the credit and collection department;
Define and follow the credit policy in collaboration with the sales department;
Supervise the invoicing process and ensure the reduction of the delay of payment of the customers by implementing an appropriate collection policy;
Prepare various analyses requested by management to support decision making;
Participate occasionally in the company's management committee when required;
Collaborate on various corporate projects of the group.
5 years experience in a position with similar responsibilities;
University degree in finance or accounting;
Experience in a distribution company (important asset);
Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP Business One an asset);
Member of the CPA order;
Good command of French
