Our client, a well known firm located close to Marché Central in Montrea is looking for a Manager FP&A for it's Head Office

Your missions

Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Manager of Corporate Planning will design and manage the FP&A processes within the different company departments, overseeing and strengthening the Project Management practice. They will directly partner with various business units to develop long-term investment strategies in key growth and/or cost optimization initiatives. Working closely with the executive team, you will play an essential role in aligning the projects and programs with the long-term strategy of the business, ensuring proper monitoring, execution and visibility while providing leadership and guidance to the team. The ideal candidate will enable collaboration between teams to solve complex and exciting challenges.


Manage the development of all weekly and monthly financial close, short-term and long-term planning, forecasting, and reporting models and their continuous innovation
Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability
Perform root cause analyses, uncovering core issues using data, providing recommendations to improve and create new measures for business productivity
Establish simple, efficient and transparent tools and processes for the Project Management practice, from ideation to execution, project tracking and post-mortem
Ensure communication, alignment and adoption of Project Management and Accounting practices across the company
Continuously monitor project health with special attention to strategic projects, flagging any actual or anticipated risks and finding solutions with respective leaders
Perform business cases analyses, developing mechanisms for project resource allocation
Work with data source providers and the technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely
Help hire, manage, and lead more junior colleagues

Your profile


Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related analytical field
MBA and/or Professional certification (CPA/CMA/Qualified Accounting designation), an asset
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in positions that require analysis and reporting of financial results, with progressively increasing levels of responsibility
Experience with Supply-chain, Retail, e-commerce, Distribution Center or Logistics processes and systems
Demonstrated financial acumen and/or analytical experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. R, Python, SQL, Tableau, MS Access, Essbase and/or Cognos) and other financial systems (i.e. SAP, Oracle), providing solutions based on results of ad hoc analyses to senior management for strategic decision-making
Proficiency in Excel (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups)


Highly analytical and detail oriented
Demonstrated leadership skills and business acumen
Effective communication and presentation skills working with multiple peer groups and senior levels of management
Proven ability to manage new ideas and creative solutions, managing such mechanisms to an end result
Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-growing and often ambiguous environment
